Powerful educational garden tool displays for Kent & Stowe


Crest Gardens garden tool brand Kent & Stowe approached Cirka to design, develop and manufacture their 2018 range of garden tool display stands, and update their marketing communications in retail. The stands were all launched at the Glee Show at the NEC this year.

Designed to create impact, interest and educate

Crest’s marketing team asked Cirka to review their current and competitor brands marketing communications and the way in which they communicated the product ranges within the garden tool category.  The goal was remaining true to the core brand values of Heritage, Craftsmanship and Durability, but also weave in the brand’s passion for gardening which emotionally connects shoppers to their outdoor spaces. The “Love your Lawn’ creative is a great example of this work.

How shopper education underlays all marketing comms and tool display

Kent & Stowe has one of the most extensive ranges of garden tools in the category today, and communicating this was almost as great a challenge as getting the physical stock onto a small footprint POS unit. The creative teams solved the first challenge by relating tools to their task and also time of use throughout the gardening year. The stands offers practical advice and tool recommendation whatever the time of year, giving shoppers a reason to return time and time again.
